Social Studies 9B -  Students took notes about the Singh decision on page 181. Reviewed the perspectives on page 182.

Social Studies 9C - Students took notes about the aboriginal perspective on p.183; looked at Resolution 49 on page 184.  Looked at the Francophone perspective on page185.

Social Studies 9E - Reviewed the Singh decision on page 181. Students were to read the perspectives on page 182 and complete the questions on the handout (we will review next class).

Social Studies 9B -  Students peer shared their paragraphs about the elderly immigrants and types of evidence presented in source articles.  Watched two videos about refugees.  Reviewed the objectives on page 179 (1976 & 2002 versions).  Looked at the statistics on page 180.

Social Studies 9B -  Watched a video about the issues for the Student Budget Consultation for tomorrow. Evaluated the point system from last class.  Students took notes from pages 172-179.  For homework, students are to read and annotate the article: Make Immigration work for Canada.  Students should identify evidence, the writer's position and unfamiliar vocab wordsEvidence to be recorded on the recap sheet.
